As an aside, we must remind our young children what 9/11 is. My students are juniors and seniors meaning they were only in second or third grade when this happened. Many don't seem to understand the true significance of this event. We must never let our children forget!

You make a good point. I guess it's not really 'taught' in History class. The thing that struck me as I was watching the coverage this year is how raw the emotion still is. It is still so hard to see.
ReplyDeleteI think this year's anniversary, as they were saying in the news, was heightened by the FL preacher wanting to burn the Quarans and the Muslim building so close to Ground Zero.
